Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is a luxurious three-hotel resort village and signature spa in the Sultanate’s capital of Muscat. The resort nestles alongside the sparkling bay of Al Jissah in a dramatic desert setting of rugged mountains and inviting beaches.

With three hotels to choose from plus an extensive range of dining options and other facilities to enjoy, this resort really does have something to offer everyone.

Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa

This beautiful and expansive resort is accessed through a private man-made tunnel in the Hajar Mountains. The resorts three hotels offer spacious accommodation, many with panoramic views.

The grounds are immaculately landscaped and a lazy river meanders between the Al Waha and Al Banhar hotels. The Al Waha is an ideal choice for families and offers the Little Turtles Kids Club for guests between the ages of 4 – 12 as well as having several pools.

The Al Husn is a more adult-focused hotel and has a number of facilities reserved purely for their own guests including a private beach and bar. Please note that children under 16 are not permitted to use the private beach or Al Husn pool.

The Al Bandar is the centre point of the resort and is home to seven of the resort’s food and beverage outlets.

Other facilities include an Omani heritage village and Al Mazaar Souk, CHI Spa, boating excursions, watersports, diving and a host of sporting facilities including tennis and a health club.

The resort comprises three hotels offering a wide range of rooms and suites from rooms made for two to family rooms and Deluxe Rooms to Speciality and Royal Suites.

Al Waha

Al Waha has 262 rooms which all vary in size and style. Most of the rooms enjoy great sea views and all rooms benefits from having outdoor space.

There are 40 interconnected family rooms, which feature a king-size bed in room room and twin beds in the other plus the added attraction of games consoles for the children or indeed the young at heart.

Al Bandar

The Al Bandar has 198 deluxe and deluxe sea-facing rooms. All are of a good size and are decorated in authentic Arabian style.

The Suites have a more contemporary feel to them and offer more in terms of space - they also have great views.

Al Husn

Al Husn has 180 deluxe rooms and suites all of which have stunning ocean or pool views.

Guests will enjoy the specious feel to the accommodation and the authentic Arabian design.

There are a wide range of dining options to choose from at this resort including Italian cuisine at Capri Court in the Al Bandar Hotel, Asian dishes at Al Mazaar Souk and traditional Omani seafood at the beach.
