This island in the Indian Ocean has a history of diversity to be justly proud of. The English, French, Dutch and Portuguese have all ruled the island and have left their mark on everything from the island’s culture, to architectural design to the amazing cuisine, which you will be able to sample at hotels and restaurants throughout the island. Benefitting from a year round tropical climate the result is a lush landscape where waterfalls spill over dramatic cliffs and, with a 700,000 year old volcanic ravine – Trou Aux Cerfs the island offers up some superb photographic opportunities.
