St Barths Travel Tips

A moment to remember:

Tailor-made: Make your holiday a twin centre with Anguilla or Antigua.

Flying time: 8hrs 30 minutes to Antigua, then onward flight of 40 minutes

Time difference: GMT -4hrs.

Getting there: Direct services operate to Antigua with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, with onward flights on Liat or on shared or private charters.

Currency: Eastern Caribbean Dollar, which is tied to the US Dollar.

Best time time to visit: Hot and tropical climate tempered by trade winds throughout most of the year. The driest period is from January to April and there is increased rainfall in summer and towards the end of the year.

St Barths being in the French Caribbean has a Mediterrean feel to it. A hideaway for the rich and famous, St Barths is secluded, private and not part of the main tourist islands. Here you wil find exquisite boutique hotels, glamorous shops and fine dining restuarants. Although a small island there are lots of lovely beaches and coves making it a great place to enjoy some watersports. In the capital Gustavia, you will find pavement cafes and a bustling marina.

There is nothing better than sitting in a a chic cafe with a coffee and a buttery croissant watching the world go by.
