CURRENCY The Cook Islands unit of currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZD), supplemented by notes and coinage. The unique local coins and notes are not negotiable outside of the Cook Islands but are keenly sought by collectors worldwide.

TIME ZONE Cook Islands’ time is GMT -10 hours. DRESS Although the dress code is informal, They do ask that swimwear and skimpy outfits are not to be worn when visiting towns or villages. Remember to show respect nude or topless sunbathing is not prohibited and will cause offense. A light jacket jumper may come in handy for the cooler evenings.
