My Beachcomber Escape: Mauritian Paradise

I have travelled to beautiful places before, but nothing prepared me for the moment I arrived in Mauritius for my Beachcomber holiday. My room was everything I imagined and more.

Light, airy, and filled with natural textures, it opened onto a terrace overlooking the lagoon. I could hear the waves from my bed. I could see the sunrise without lifting my head from the pillow.

Some nights I lingered at the bar, listening to live music drift across the water. Other nights I walked along the beach, letting the warm sand sink between my toes as the stars appeared one by one.
