Situated on a site dating back to 1804 The Henry Jones Art Hotel is proud to be Australia's first and only dedicated art hotel. The building was originally used as a jam factory but has now been transformed into a first class hotel positioned right on Hobart's waterfront.
The hotel is home to over 300 works of art. The hotel is a unique blend of history, art, heritage, tradition and real style.
The hotel has 56 rooms and suites, which have all been individually crafted with love and car. Contemporary art is prominently displayed for guests to experience and enjoy.
Every room is air-conditioned and features natural timber furnishings, trapeze lighting, TV, internet connectivity (high speed) and a king-size bed.
Visit the Henry Jones Design Galley to learn more about Tasmanian Arts & Crafts. From sculptures to find pieces of jewellery to furniture design and works in glass there are some fine pieces on display in a great setting.
The Excel Gym offers a range of the latest cardio equipment and weight machines.
Try the hotel's signature restaurant 'Henry's and enjoy an exceptional menu of culinary delights created using locally sourced produce. Henry's also offers an extensive wine menu with wines to compliment all food types and occasions.
The Jam Packed Cafe offers coffee, breakfasts, light lunches, ice cream and wine.
The IXL Long Bar is 'the' place to meet and offers a mix of cocktails and music - there are also stunning views of Sullivans Cove to be enjoyed.
